Topless bar insists a themed 'slave night' where punters bid on chained-up strippers for lap dances 'isn't offensive in any way'
- The Land of Promise Hotel in Hindmarsh, SA, has promoted a 'slave night' online
- The event allows patrons to bid on strippers with fake money to perform acts
- But the March 27 function was decried as 'offensive' by Facebook commentators
- Land of Promise Manager Leanne says it 'wasn't meant to be offensive in anyway'
A topless bar hosting a 'slave night' where strippers will be auctioned off for lap dances has defended the event.
The Land of Promise Hotel, in Hindmarsh, South Australia, announced on Facebook earlier this week that patrons would be receiving 'slave dollars' with every beer purchase leading up to March 27.
The customers will then be able to exchange the fake money to 'bid on their girl of choice' to win prizes including 'things like private dances, table dances, shower shows (and) topless pool games'.

The Land of Promise Hotel (pictured), in Hindmarsh, SA, has defended its decision to host a 'slave night' stripper auction, stating it is not meant to be 'offensive'
'Dress up for your chance to win our ''Best Dressed Prize'',' the post read.
'All girls and staff will be dressed in slave attire.'
An image accompanying the post featured a cartoon of two scantily-clad women wearing auction numbers, with chains wrapped around their hands and neck.
The function was decried as offensive within minutes of being announced.
'Is this a joke? That picture you have up is highly offensive,' one person wrote.
Land of Promise manager Leanne said the event or the post 'wasn’t meant to be offensive in any way'.

The establishment was slammed over the event and its advertisement material on social media
'It’s certainly not meant to insinuate women are slaves,' she told The Advertiser.
'It’s a historical thing.'
Leanne, who declined to provide her surname, claimed it was inspired by a man who auctioned his wife at the pub in July 1847.
The pub's employee said she could understand why people maybe offended by the image because of political correctness but it was not intended to cause offense.
The Facebook post has since been removed but the business plans to proceed with the event.
The establishment frequently hosts erotic entertainment, including a 'lesbian lust special', 'wet t-shirt competitions', and 'jelly wrestling'.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted the Land of Promise Hotel for comment.
