Thiruvananthapuram: The
state police chief has directed all district police chiefs to provide all help to the
health department in
tracing people who have come from
abroad in the wake of
Covid-19 scare.
Intelligence ADGP will collect the details of the passengers who are arriving at Thiruvananthapuram, Nedumbassery, Kannur and Kozhikode airports. The details of the passengers will be collected from the foreigners’ regional registration officer. The police will help the health department in locating the passengers and sensitize them on the need for self-quarantine.
All Janamaithri police have been asked to propagate the awareness declared by the health department to prevent the spreading of the virus and also about the precautionary measures that have to be taken.
All policemen on traffic duty have been asked compulsorily to wear masks and wash their hands at regular intervals. All district police chiefs have been asked to get directly involved in the awareness campaign against Covid-19 in their respective areas. tnn
