GOA: A day after TOI reported that the health minister Vishwajit Rane asked chief minister Pramod Sawant to cancel the Ketevan sacred music festival in view of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) worldwide, the event has been postponed.
The festival was scheduled to be held this weekend from March 13 to 15, featuring international artistes flying down from various parts of the world, even though many countries around the globe are in the throes of the coronavirus scare.
The festival team released a statement on Thursday that the festival will be rescheduled “after analyzing the situation at a future date” and will celebrate the festival after this crisis passes.
