The first of the two to be placed in isolation was a 27-year-old native of Vasco who returned to Goa two days ago. The man worked on a ship and had come in contact with a person who had tested positive for Covid-19 while his ship was docked in Italy mid last month. An official said his condition is stable.
A 23-year-old woman from Sakhali, who returned from Dubai last week, was also quarantined in ward 113, a 30-bedded ward with a quarantine unit, on Wednesday. She had fever and cough but her condition is believed to have improved after treatment began.
