SUDA’s Rs 505cr budget for 2020-21 approved

Surat: The Surat Urban Development Authority (SUDA)’s Rs 505 crore budget for the year 2020-21 was approved in a board meeting on Wednesday.
According to the SUDA officials, it has allocated Rs 40 crore for the outer Ring Road work in the city’s periphery, while Rs 10 crore has been allocated for the solid waste management in villages of its jurisdiction.
During the board meeting, the SUDA decided to give Rs 250 crore to Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) for its Tapi Riverfront project.
The SUDA has also allocated Rs 77.44 crore for various road construction, development and widening of Surat-Dandi Road. Also, Rs 25 crore has been earmarked for housing scheme under the Pradhanmatri Avas Yojna.
