FIR against former Lucknow University VCs for forgery, graft

LUCKNOW: A teacher in a college affiliated with Lucknow University has lodged a named FIR against two former LU vice-chancellors and two registrars under charges of cheating, corruption and forgery.
Prashant Pandey, the complainant, said that he and a woman candidate had applied for the post of assistant professor in 2006 but the woman got selected using forged documents. Later, on his complaint, the then chancellor had cancelled her appointment.
Pandey claimed he got to know through RTI that LU officials were aware of the fraud. He then lodged complaints with the CM and PM who directed LU to take action. However, nothing was done. The incidents happened in the regimes of two VCs and registrars. Pandey said he had lodged the FIR because officials might appoint her again.
