New Delhi:
Gold prices on Thursday fell by Rs 30 to Rs 43,325 per 10 gram in futures trade as speculators trimmed their positions in line with a weak trend overseas.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for April delivery fell by Rs 30, or 0.07 per cent, to Rs 43,325 per 10 gram in a business turnover of 2,865 lots.
The yellow metal for June delivery declined by Rs 20, or 0.05 per cent, to Rs 43,860 per 10 gram in 449 lots.
Analysts said subdued overseas cues influenced sentiments here.
Globally, gold was trading 0.58 per cent lower at $1,632.70 per ounce in New York.
Silver
Silver futures on Thursday fell Rs 377 to Rs 45,449 per kg as participants cut down bets on weak cues from overseas markets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for May delivery slumped Rs 377, or 0.82 per cent, to Rs 45,449 per kg in a business turnover of 3,962 lots.
Similarly, the white metal for July delivery fell by Rs 347, or 0.75 per cent, to Rs 45,924 per kg in 58 lots.
In the international market, silver prices traded 1.20 per cent lower at $16.58 per ounce in New York.
