Vadodara gets new district judge

Vadodara: Gujarat high court has appointed M R Mengdey, principal district and sessions judge (PDJ) of Mehsana, as new PDJ of Vadodara.
The post was lying vacant as the previous PDJ Dr A C Joshi was elevated as high court justice last week. U T Desai, the PDJ of Bharuch, will replace judge Mengdey in Mehsana. Along with judge Mengdey and judge Desai, the high court transferred 16 other judicial officers working in the cadre of district judge within the state.
Justice Joshi was appointed PDJ of Vadodara in May last year when he was serving as PDJ of Ahmedabad, according to a high court notification.
