Hyundai has teased the Verna facelift, gets new styling, features and engine options.
The Hyundai Verna facelift is likely to launch in April. The South Korean carmaker has teased the updated sedan that reveals its new styling.
The interior hasn’t been revealed but the exterior comes with new cosmetic changes. The front profile comes with new LED headlights, larger grille in chrome finish and revised bumper.
The side profile remains more or less the same but the alloys are new and there is a new blue colour option too. The rear also gets mild changes in the form of new tail lights and revised bumper.
The interior of the facelifted Verna is likely to get a new colour theme for dashboard. The touchscreen infotainment system will see an update. There will be an electric sunroof on offer, wireless phone charging, etc. Hyundai will be offering their latest BlueLink connected car technology.
The new Hyundai Verna will come with an entirely new range of engines and transmission options. It will get a 1.0-litre turbo petrol GDi engine mated to a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
There will be a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine mated to a CVT transmission which they like to call as IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission).
The 1.5-litre diesel engine option will be there too which will come paired to a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. All these engines are BS6 compliant and the 1.5-litre diesel and petrol engines will also get manual gearbox options.
The 2020 Hyundai Verna will compete with the new generation Honda City which will be launched by the time it gets introduced and the Maruti Ciaz. These are the two key rivals of the Verna.
