LUCKNOW: A day after a premature girl was found abandoned in a
garbage bin and died during treatment, police on Sunday booked her unidentified parents for actions leading to her death.
According to police, Dinesh Kumar Mishra of Aliganj went throw household waste on Saturday morning when he saw something moving inside a polybag in the garbage bin. Out of curiosity, he picked the bag and opened it only to find a newborn girl. He rushed the baby to a private hospital which informed police and Childline.
Doctors said the girl was born prematurely due to which her organs were underdeveloped. She was also underweight and had breathing problem.

Krishna Pratap Singh said, “As there was no ventilator at the hospital, she was referred to a government hospital in
Vibhuti Khand. She was admitted to the emergency ward but as no ventilator was available at that time, she was again referred to a private hospital in Aliganj. She was put on life support but could not survive.”

Fareed Ahmed said, “It is a heinous crime and we have lodged an FIR against her parents under Section 315 (preventing a child from being born alive and cause his/her to die after birth) of the IPC which has maximum jail term of 10-years. Her parents are yet to be identified.” “We are scanning CCTV camera footage of the area for clues. We are visiting other hospitals in the area to zero in on the accused,” he said.
