Dealerships generally have a better online reputation than many other businesses in the U.S., according to a study by Reputation.com, which tracks that metric.
Dealerships outscored several other categories, including retail and the health care and finance sectors, the study found. Scores were given on a 0-1,000 scale, based on how visible a business’s online presence is, how well it responds to online reviews and overall online customer sentiment. The scores below represent an average across each sector.
Hospitality: 605
Auto dealers: 603
Dining: 584
Real estate: 571
Retail: 552
Health care: 401
Finance: 367
