Exam fear drives boy to suicide

Rajkot: A Class XII science stream student ended life by hanging herself to death in her hostel room at Sarangpur in Barwala taluka of Botad district on Saturday. Primary investigation revealed that 17-year-old Akshar Patel was tense because of the board exams.
According to police Akshar was student of BAPS run Gurukul of Sarangpur village in Barwala.
He was studying with other students on Friday night and all of a sudden he went to his room and hanged himself.
The hostel authority found his body on Saturday morning.
Patel is resident of Jalalpur village in Dholka taluka of Ahmedabad district. Sources said that he did not want to pursue science stream after Class X, but took the admission at the insistence of his parents.
The police found nothing suspicious from the room of the deceased. His body has been sent for postmortem, police said.
