The total number of people affected with coronavirus in India is now 43, three of which have now been discharged. The four new cases of COVID-19 that have been reported since yesterday are – One from Ernakulum, Kerala, one from Delhi, one from Uttar Pradesh and one from Jammu Yesterday, five of a family in Kerala tested positive of the virus.
The number of Coronavirus cases in India, which was just six till last Tuesday, now stands at 43 including 16 Italians. The figure also includes the three Kerala patients who were discharged last month following recovery.
43 samples have tested positive out of the 3,003 samples tested for COVID-19 with 2,694 samples having returned negative results.
A total of 8,74,708 international passengers from 8,255 flights have been screened at airports till now with 1,921 passengers identified as symptomatic.
A diabetic man died in the isolation ward of a hospital in West Bengal's Murshidabad district on Sunday, a day after he was admitted there with suspected symptoms of coronavirus following his return from Saudi Arabia. According to doctors, he was admitted to the hospital with fever, cough and cold. Though test results of his blood and swab samples for novel coronavirus is awaited.
A 76-year-old man who recently returned from a trip to Iran has died in Ladakh after showing symptoms associated with the coronavirus outbreak that has affected at least 39 people across India. Mohamad Ali, a former policeman, was admitted to a hospital on Saturday night and his death has prompted authorities to take precautions including cordoning off his village.

A 63-year-old woman tested positive for coronavirus in Jammu, making her the first confirmed case in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Monday.

The woman, who had a travel history to Iran, was among two patients who were declared "high viral load cases" by the administration on the weekend.
A three-year-old in Kerala has tested positive for the rapidly spreading coronavirus, taking the total number of affected people in the country to 40.
The child had travelled to Italy along with his parents and had returned last Saturday.

The coronavirus testing facility is now available in the Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC), and the first sample has already been tested at the institute, which was found to be negative, health department's secretary Nikunja Bihari Dhal said.
