TRICHY: A minor fire broke out at Arulmigu Ranganathaswamy Temple at Srirangam near Trichy in the early hours of Monday. Temple watchmen put out the fire immediately.
Sources said the fire broke out at a prasada stall near the Garuda mandapam around 3.30am.
Temple officials said the Srirangam police had been informed about the incident. However, they did not alert the fire service rescue services department as it was a minor accident.
A probe was on to find out the cause of the fire, officials told TOI.
