Handloom body holds event in Guwahati school

GUWAHATI: The North Eastern Handicrafts and Handlooms Development Corporation Limited - a central enterprise under the administrative control of the ministry of development of north eastern region - organised a school education program called 'Joy of Giving' at Chhaygaon Govt. MV School in the outskirts of the city.
During the program, scientific equipment was given to students to foster opportunities of learning.
The program was attended by the corporation's managing director Dhiraj Thakuria, deputy manager Krishangi Kakati, social worker Sukumar Medhi and head teacher of the host school.
The organization has also planned to organize similar programs in different districts and states of the northeast in the coming years.
