Dough! Axe-wielding robber leaves a pizzeria empty-handed because the restaurant didn't have any cash (but staff did offer him a free pizza)

An armed robber left a pizzeria empty handed after the restaurant didn't have any cash for him to take. 

Terrified workers told the axe-wielding man they did not have cash but they would make him a fresh pizza to take instead when he stormed Pizza Hut in para Vista, in Adelaide, at 10pm on Sunday. 

The man, who wore a bandana, threatened workers with an axe but he left with nothing.

He is described of African appearance, around 185cm tall and was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans at the time of the incident. 

Police were unable to locate the suspect. 

They have asked that anyone who has relevant information  to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
