International women’s day celebrated

Kanpur: Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) at CSJM University on Saturday celebrated the International Women's Day with fanfare.
A cultural programme, organised on the occasion, was inaugurated by Prof RC Katiyar of CSJM University and Prof Sanjay Swarankar, dean, academics and research, Pravin Katiyar, former president of IMA, Kanpur Chapter, and Vivek Singh Sachan of CSJM University. Prof RC Katiyar, who was chief guest on the occasion, said women are no way inferior to men and they were matching footsteps with males in almost all fields.
Guest of honour, Pravin Katiyar, said that women should be respected and should also be given respect at homes.
Students Suhani Gupta, Vaishnavi, Sheetal Yadav, Riya Singh, Sakshi, Surabhi and Priyanka presented dance performance which was appreciated by one and all. Vartika Sharma and Smita Yadav recited poems on women empowerment .
