Coriander futures slump 3.39 pc on weak cues

Press Trust of India  |  New Delhi

Coriander prices on Monday fell by Rs 211 to Rs 6,013 per quintal in futures trade as speculators reduced their positions amid weak demand in spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, coriander contracts for April eased by Rs 211, or 3.39 per cent, to Rs 6,013 per quintal in 6,570 lots.

Similarly, the spice for May delivery plunged by Rs 230, or 3.69 per cent, at Rs 6,007 per quintal in 1,900 lots.

Market analysts said subdued demand in spot market mainly led to decline in coriander prices here.
