Yogi Adityanath extended wished to people on the occasion of Holi, on Sunday, terming it an important festival of Sanatan
tradition and a source of
inspiration for nationalism.
He also appealed the people to take adequate preventive measures in the wake of coronavirus outbreak.
In a statement, Yogi said the festival of Holi brings social harmony and has been part of an ancient Indian tradition. He said the
festivals attained religious prominence under ‘Rishi’ tradition of the country. This, he said, laid foundation and has been an inspiration for the coming generations.
Yogi said Holi inspires us to fight against
adharma and injustice. The CM said sadness has no room in festivals, but at the same time people should maintain dignity and piousness in celebrations.
