A 21-year-old YouTube star has tallied up her total spending in a week living in Australia and shared her major tip for saving money while you rent.
Ella Victoria, who lives south of Sydney's CBD, created a video that centred around her daily expenditure, which during the week-long experiment added up to more than it would in a regular week.
'Sometimes talking about money can be quite personal but I want to be transparent because I might be able to help some of you,' the stunning blonde said in the footage.
The self-employed 'influencer' started by explaining that each Monday she makes use of a tip she learnt from reading financial guru Scott Pape's The Barefoot Investor.

Ella removes money from her usual savings account and moves $200 to her 'expenses' account for bills and groceries, $100 to 'leisure' and $200 to 'short term' debts like registering her car.
She also has a long term accounts folder and one for the $550 she pays in rent a week.
Dividing her money each week ensures she stays on track for future goals, which include purchasing her own house.
Between February 17 and 23 Ella estimated her total spend was $2,195.33, which included a few social outings with her friends, a Hello Fresh food delivery box and paying for car-related insurance and registration.

MONDAY
Ella kept things relatively cheap and cheerful on the first day of the week by spending a mere $38.
She had to fork out $14 on a toll road in Sydney's city region and bought two coffees - one for herself and another for her boyfriend Braydon - which set her back $12.
Finally her monthly Spotify membership withdrew $11.99 from her savings account on February 17, which she won't have to pay again until March.

She noticed an uncharacteristic spend on her online banking statement for $59.95, which she inquired about for the purpose of the video.
The 21-year-old found out it was for an escort service and someone had been using her card to make transactions, so she was forced to cancel her debit card and order a new one.

WEDNESDAY
To get over the mid-week hump Ella didn't resort to leaving the house, instead trying to curb some of the excessive spending earlier in the week.
Unfortunately she had to pay her standard monthly car insurance of $123.44, which took the total for the day to the same amount.
While this isn't a usual purchase she described it as 'just one of those things you have to do' when you're an adult with a vehicle.

She had to transfer $26 to a friend who had purchased her a meal a few days prior and spent another $19.05 on a food delivery service while she was getting her hair done.
This food delivery service was 'messing her around' in terms of timings so she instead spent another $19.99 on Uber Eats, with the other company giving her store credit for her trouble.
While she doesn't pay her hairdresser - because they have a collaborative deal - she still spent $156.99 on Friday.
