Owing to coronavirus alert throughout the country,10 flights departing from Chennai to other countries have been canceled on Monday. 

Air India, Indigo, Kuwait Airways and Cathay Pacific have canceled 10 flights to Kuwait and Hong Kong.

More than 1 lakh people have been infected with the deadly coronavirus worldwide. The death toll continues to rise amidst precautions and preventive measures. China alone has recorded 3119 deaths so far.

According to officials, the frequency of flights from countries like Kuwait, Hong Kong, Italy to Chennai have been decreased to about 40%.
