The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will begin from March 29 and defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) will be taking on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the opener.

Ahead of the cash-rich tournament, IPL had released a promotional video on which all cricket memes which got created during the 2019 World Cup were present.

Not just that, the video took a dig at players like Rohit Sharma, whose team has only won during odd years and that of Virat Kohli who has not been able to give Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) a single victory over the years.

Now, IPL has released two new videos. In the first, Rohit Sharma can be seen explaining how this year it is the 13th season and it is also an odd year.

In the second, Indian skipper Kohli is seen telling that this is a new season and anything can happen.

While all are excited for the cash-rich event, the spread of Coronavirus is starting to impact sporting events in India.

According to Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope, the cash-rich event could be held on a later date in view of the spread of the novel coronavirus.

However, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly has a different opinion and has said that the IPL will be held as scheduled. “It’s on...and BCCI will take all protection (against coronavirus),” he had said.
