External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that India is misunderstood on the Citizenship Amendment Act. Jaishankar also slammed UNHRC for its take on the new citizenship law. The External Affairs Minister said that the international body has been wrong before as well. Jaishankar said, "They carefully skirt around the problem of cross-border terrorism in the region as if it has nothing to do with Kashmir”. He further said that the constant criticism of CAA also revealed the true friends of India.
