NEW DELHI: The BSE Midcap index was trading in the red in Friday's session.

Shares of RBL Bank (down 14.59 per cent), Max Financial Services (down 13.86 per cent), NAM-INDIA (down 10.79 per cent), Reliance Infrastructure (down 9.89 per cent), Piramal Enterprises (down 8.99 per cent), IDBI Bank (down 8.53 per cent), PNB Housing Finance (down 8.05 per cent), L&T Finance Holdings (down 7.25 per cent), Canara Bank (down 6.7 per cent), GMR Infrastructure (down 6.42 per cent), Future Retail (down 6.39 per cent), Union Bank of India (down 6.35 per cent), LIC Housing Finance (down 6.29 per cent), Jindal Steel & Power (down 6.25 per cent), Blue Dart Express (down 6.08 per cent), Bajaj Holdings & Investment (down 6.01 per cent), Aditya Birla Capital Ltd (down 5.84 per cent), Shriram Transport Finance (down 5.82 per cent), Bank of India (down 5.71 per cent) and Adani Power (down 5.67 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The S&P BSE MidCap index was trading 2.61 per cent down at 14190.52 around 02:17 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 291.85 points at 10977.15 , while the BSE Sensex was down 923.52 points at 37,547.09.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 2 were trading in the green, while 48 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, SBI, Aurobindo Pharm, Infosys, Union Bank India, RIL and Tata Global were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
