There are no two ways about the fact that Irrfan Khan is a brilliant actor, one of the best in Bollywood. The actor who is currently is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Angrezi Medium, which will see him make a comeback to the silver screen after being diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor in 2018.
The actor, who has been undergoing continuous treatment since then, has been largely away from the world of showbiz but speaking about Angrezi Medium, Irrfan said, "I am not nervous. In fact, I am just happy and nothing else," he said, about his state of mind right now.
Speaking about how his perspective has changed after his illness, he said, "I had become excessively busy (before falling ill), so much so that I almost missed (watching) my sons (Babil and Ayan) become young adults from little boys. I was running out of time all the time. Ironically now, I have kind of an idea what ‘running out of time’ actually means. So, I am just counting my blessings and thanking everyone who has prayed for me."
He further opened up about working on the film after director Homi Adajania had said that Irrfan had forgotten to act when he first came on set. "Yes, Homi is absolutely right. That’s exactly what I felt but then, I intentionally kept it that way. I did not use any technique (of acting) which I had used earlier. I have approached acting very differently in Angrezi Medium. Now, you all should watch it, and tell me if it worked or not."
