PANCHKULA: A man aged 35 was found dead in his
car in Sector 15 here on Thursday. In the opinion of police, the
death was due to suspected
drug overdose.
Cops took the body to the civil hospital. They identified the victim as a resident of Peer Muchhalla village and called his family to the spot. They told the media that a passerby had found a motionless man in a car parked in the Sector-15 lot for the past two days, so the witness had found it fit to report the matter to police.
The body was taken to the civil hospital in Sector 6, where doctors declared the man brought dead. His family came over but will get the body after the post-mortem
examination is conducted on Friday.
A cop dealing with the case said: “A used syringe was found in the car when we searched it, so we suspect it to be a death because of drug overdose for now. The
postmortem examination report will be able to provide with answers to the puzzle of exact reason behind the death.”
Police claim they found no injury marks on the body. A police officer said: “The investigation into the death is under progress.”
