Teenager drowns in Kapila River

A teenager drowned while swimming in the Kapila River near Shishila on Thursday. The victim is Suhas,17, a resident of Umanthiru village. He along with others had gone swimming in the afternoon and accidentally drowned. Locals alleged that incident took place due to rampant illegal sand mining across the river bank. A case has been registered at the Dharmasthala police station.
