BENGALURU: Twelve people were killed and four injured in a road accident at Byaladakere village near Kunigal on National Highway 48 in Karnataka on Friday early morning. According to police, the incident took place around 4am.
A speeding car moving towards Hassan collided with an SUV coming from the opposite direction. All three persons in the car and nine persons including four women and a one-year-old girl in the SUV died in the incident.
Tumakuru district police rushed to the spot and shifted bodies to nearby government hospital for autopsy procedures. Further probe is under way.
