NEW DELHI: Most of the sugar stocks were trading with losses in Thursday's morning session.

Shares of Bajaj Hindusthan (down 5.71 per cent), Dharani Sugars & Chemicals (down 5.23 per cent), Riga Sugar Company (down 4.39 per cent), Rana Sugars (down 2.91 per cent) and Shree Renuka Sugars (down 1.54 per cent) were among the top losers.

Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries (down 1.44 per cent), Ugar Sugar Works (down 1.29 per cent), KCP Sugar & Industries (down 0.95 per cent) and EID Parry (down 0.91 per cent) too were in the red.

While Piccadily Agro Industries (up 13.94 per cent), DCM Shriram Industries (up 1.94 per cent), Kesar Enterprise (up 1.67 per cent) and Magadh Sugar (up 1.64 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 41.90 points up at 11,292.9, while the 30share BSE Sensex was up 148.32 points at 38,557.8 at around 10:31 am.

Hindustan Unilever (up 3.16 per cent), HCL Technologies (up 2.69 per cent), ITC (up 1.6 per cent), Tata Consultancy (up 1.54 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp (up 1.35 per cent) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, State Bank of India (down 1.49 per cent), ICICI Bank (down 0.96 per cent), Reliance Industries (down 0.91 per cent), Titan Company Ltd (down 0.5 per cent) and Larsen & Toubro (down 0.42 per cent) were trading in the red.
