Berths available in special trains after Holi: Railways

PATNA: The railways on Wednesday claimed that adequate number of berths are available in the Holi special trains originating from different places falling under the East Central Railway (ECR). People intending to return to their respective destinations after celebrating the festival can easily book their tickets in these trains which are being monitored by the Railway Board on priority basis.
According to ECR chief public relations officer (CPRO) Rajesh Kumar, altogether 304 berths are available in AC III-tier coach of the Patna-Pune special (03353) on March 12, while AC III and sleeper class berths are available in the Barauni-New Delhi special (04403) from March 7.
Similarly, the Patna-Anand Vihar special (04021) has 169 berths available in AC II and 655 in AC III-tier coaches from March 8. The Gaya-Bandra special (09030) has 935 berths available in AC III and 190 in sleeper class coaches from March 9.
"While the Gaya-Anand Vihar special (04043) has adequate number of AC II, AC III and sleeper class berths available from March 9, the Barauni-Bandra special (09032) has AC III and sleeper class berths from March 5," the CPRO said, adding the Patna-Ahmedabad special (09418), Patna-Lokmanya Tilak special (01104), Danapur-Pune special (01124) and Patna-Durg special (08296) have berths available in AC and sleeper class coaches from March 13.
Meanwhile, the railways will run the Anand Vihar-Patna AC special train (04021/04022) on March 8 from New Delhi at 12.10am and reach Patna the same day at 5.45pm. "On its return journey, the train will leave Patna at 7.35pm and reach Anand Vihar the next day at 1.20pm," the CPRO said and added the New Delhi-Barauni special (04403/04404) will leave New Delhi on March 6 at 7.25pm and reach Barauni the next day at 6pm.
Besides, the Anand Vihar-Gaya special (04043/04044) will leave Anand Vihar on March 9 at 12.10am and reach Gaya the same day at 8.20pm.
However, the railways will run a special train (03031) between Howrah and Gorakhpur on March 8 via Barauni-Samastipur-Muzaffarpur-Sitamarhi-Raxaul-Narkatiaganj-Kaptanganj route.
