Patiala: Two unidentified people booked for robbery at petrol filling station

PATIALA: The police here have booked two unidentified persons under sections of robbery after the accused allegedly robbed Rs 40,000 and two mobile phones from the staff members of the petrol filling station staff on a gunpoint.
The police said that a case was registered under sections of IPC against the accused and the CCTV cameras were being thoroughly. The police added that both the accused robbers could not be identified in the CCTV as their faces were covered and they had come by walk in to the filling station situated at Shutrana block of the district.
The case has been registered on the complaint of Rajvir Singh of Chandial village in Dirba of Sangrur district who claimed that he was working as salesman along with his colleagues including Harjinder Singh and Raj Kumar when the incident took place. He told the police that two accused walked towards them and pointed gun over the staff members. The incident took place during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday at filling station.
Station House Officer Shutrana police station is investigating into the matter. He said that queries were being carried out over the suspicious habitual criminals in order to get some clues. He revealed that accused were probably aware of the CCTV cameras installed at the filling station and might have another accomplice along with them who could have waited a few meters away from the petrol filling station but so far these were only theories. The police is also working on other possible theories including the involvement of any staff members.
