Couple murdered in Veraval village

RAJKOT: A couple was found murdered in their farm in Rampara village of Veraval taluka in Gir Somnath district on Wednesday morning.
Police said unidentified accused, whose number could not be ascertained, allegedly hacked Ram Bhadarka (60) and his wife Lakshmi Bhadarka (56). While Ram's body was found at the door of the house, Lakshmi's body was found on the cot.
The police said it seemed that when Ram opened the door, he was hacked by the assailants who attacked Lakshmi while she was asleep on the cot. "Initially, it was suspected to be a loot case as the articles in the room were lying scattered. However, the possibility of robbery has been ruled out, as no expensive items was missing from the house. We suspect it to be a case of enmity," said K J Chauhan, sub-inspector with Gir Somnath local crime branch.
