200 women students to attend national welding league in Bhubaneswar
At least 200 women students from different parts of the country will take part in the welding competition and exhibition of latest welding equipment at the 'National Welding League of Women Students 2020' organised here by the CV Raman Global University and the Fronius India Private Limited.

BHUBANESWAR: At least 200 women students from different parts of the country will take part in the welding competition and exhibition of latest welding equipment at the 'National Welding League of Women Students 2020' organised here by the CV Raman Global University and the Fronius India Private Limited.
The three-day event will begin from Friday and continue till Sunday. Around 70 students from Odisha will take part in the event. "Participation of women workforce in welding industry is not satisfactory. Our objective is to inspire the girls through this event to take up welding jobs," said Sanjib Kumar Rout, president of CV Raman Global University.
The entire event will be conducted according to the World Skills format. Indian Institute of Welding will work as knowledge partner and World Skills experts will take part in the event as jury members. The programme will cover practical skill test, live demonstration of latest and advanced welding equipment and technology. The girls will get certificates along with prizes.
Gold medal winner will get Rs 20,000, while silver medal and bronze medal winners will get Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively. Besides, Rs 5000 will be given to five persons winning medallion of excellence. The participated institute with highest average marks will be awarded with the Champions Trophy, said Rout.
"This event is a first of its kind in the entire country where peoples of welding fraternity from academics, training institutions and industries are coming under one roof. The event will be culminated on the International Women's Day," said Rout.
