Vadodara family goes missing after visiting Statue of Unity

VADODARA: A family from Vadodara has gone missing after they had went to Kevadia on March 1 to visit the Statue of Unity (SoU). The Navapura police has begun investigations in the case with the help of Narmada police. Kalpesh Parmar, a resident of Navapura area, had gone to SoU in his car along with his wife Trupti, their two children and mother Usha.
They all watched the statue and even attended the laser show in the evening. According to the police, the family left SoU in their car and headed towards Dabhoi Road. But investigations revealed that Parmar's phone got switched off near Dabhoi.
Parmar's relatives too rushed to Kevadia and Dabhoi to search for the missing family but have not got any clues. A complaint of missing persons has been filed at Kevadia police station and cops of Vadodara and Narmada are jointly investigating the mysterious case of disappearance.
"We scanned CCTV footage and found that the family last stopped at Jayveer Hotel on Dabhoi Road. After that, they went missing with their vehicle. We have launched a search for them," said A M Parmar, police sub-inspector, Kevadia. The cops said that Parmar's family hasn't indicated that he was facing any sort of problems.
