BENGALURU: The
launch of
earth observation satellite Geo
Imaging Satellite, or Gisat-1, has been called off “due to technical reasons”,
Isro said on Wednesday. The launch, from the Sriharikota
spaceport, was earlier scheduled for 5.43pm on Thursday.
Isro did not share any details on the technical problems. “Revised launch date will be informed in due course,” it said in a statement.
An official from the space agency indicated that there might be an issue with the launch vehicle GSLV-F10. The satellite had met all parameters and its integration with the GSLV-F10 was complete.
