In a response to frequent ceasefire violations by Pakistan, the Indian Army used anti-tank guided missiles and artillery shells to target Pakistan Army posts opposite the Kupwara sector, sources in Army said. It was a retaliatory strike by the Indian troops on 24 and 25 February in Rajouri and Tangdhar respectively. Pakistani had violated the ceasefire in the Hiranagar sector in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district on February 15 and they tried to infiltrate terrorists through Neelam Valley. Pakistani rangers targeted residential areas.
