CHANDIGARH: Police have booked a private school teacher for allegedly raping the mother of one of his students for last more than eight months.
Police said the accused had first molested the woman. When she objected, the accused allegedly threatened her that her son would be expelled from the school if she reported the matter.
Later, the accused started blackmailing her and allegedly forced himself on the woman. The accused allegedly took the woman to different hotels in the Tricity and raped her.
The woman attached hotel bills with her complaint. The complainant said once she got pregnant, the accused forced her to abort the child.
Later, the woman told her husband about the assaults and they filed a complaint at the SSP public window.
The SSP marked an inquiry. After carrying out an investigation and taking legal opinion, police registered a rape case against the accused under the relevant Sections of the IPC. Police said no arrest has been made so far. On February 17, a resident of Uttar Pradesh was arrested for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl in the city. Both were working as domestic help in a house.
