CHANDIGARH: The police department has issued an advisory to its staff, especially traffic cops, to wear masks and gloves while performing their duties following the detection of coronavirus cases in the country.
The police department will, however, not buy the masks and gloves.
The health department director has written to the SSP to cooperate in spreading awareness through public announcement (PA) systems installed at the traffic points. In a letter to the police, the health department said the PA system would be required from March 4 to 31. In case of any query regarding coronavirus, the department can be contacted on its email ids, nrhmchd@gmail.com and iecnhmchd@gmail.com.
