Schools in Delhi’s riot-hit areas reopen as normalcy returns

A special parent-teachers meeting was organised in the schools in riot-hit areas of northeast Delhi on Wednesday. Parents and students turned up in large numbers. The teachers informed them about the new exam datasheet.

As a special PTM was called for school at Khauri Khas in northeast Delhi

After days of unrest, the students met for the first time. Many shared their traumatic experiences. Many said that going back to school gave them a sense of normalcy.

Deputy chief minister and education minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia interacted with students of Delhi government schools situated in the violence-affected areas. He asked the students how they were doing and gave them confidence. He urged them to focus on their studies and not be affected by the violence.

Teachers informed the students about the new exam datesheet

“Study hard, give your best at the exams. Let them spread hatred, we will answer them back by doing well in the exams, and build a strong career for ourselves,” an encouraging Sisodia told students.
