CBSE Class 10 Science exam paper analysis & students' feedback: Moderately difficult

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, conducted the class 10 Science subject annual board examination at various exam centres across the country. This is the third main subject exam for class 10 students. The CBSE Board had conducted the Class 10 English and Hindi exams on February 26 and February 29 respectively. The next major papers for class 10 will be conducted on March 12 (Mathematics) and March 18 (Social Science).

The CBSE Class 10 Science question paper was divided into three pass – A, B and C. All questions were compulsory, however, the internal choice was given in each section. The question paper consists of a total of 30 questions worth 80 marks. The exam was of three hours duration.

The Class 10 English examination was held today from 10.30 AM to 1.30 PM. This year, around 19 lakh students have registered for the CBSE class 10 board exams. Out of these, there are 7,88,195 girls, 11,01,664 boys and 19 transgenders.
Kishor Vishal, a coaching institute teacher said that today's class 10 Science question paper was moderately difficult. Section A was moderate, while Section B was difficult. Section C was difficult, however, the diagram based questions were easy. Numericals were of 11 marks in the Set 1. Overall, average students can score between 60-70 percent score.

Devyani Tiwari, St. VINCENT Palloti School, Nagpur: Paper was nice. Multiple choice questions were easy but Section C was difficult. Very nice. . I was able to complete it in time. I didn't find any errors. I hope to achieve good marks.
Abhilasha Tiwari, St. Vincent Palloti School, Nagpur: I got set 3, it was tough. For me Section C was easy but 3 markers were difficult. Also some questions were confusing, I didn't understand them. I was able to complete my paper but was not able to recheck. Overall it was an average paper.
Bhargavi panpaliya, Class 10 student from Pune: The paper wasn't difficult. It was a direct paper from the portion given. Anyone who had revised their study material completely would be able to solve it in the given time. Overall it was quite good and easy compared to the sample paper given for science.
Joseph Jobi, St. Vincent Palloti School, Nagpur: Paper was easy but little lengthy, I found the language was convenient but there were too many sub-questions which make it too long to solve.
Gaurav Joshi, St. Vincent Palloti School, Nagpur: Overall the paper easy but the bio section was little difficult, a question of amalgam was a bouncer, and also it was lengthy.
Daniya Zeenat, St. Vincent Palloti School, Nagpur: Paper was nice. Section A was easy and Section B that is three markers were difficult. But overa paper was good, I was able to complete it in time. And I expect high score.

Yog Panjwani, CPS Katol, Nagpur: I found the paper a bit difficult to solve. Actually not very difficult but the questions were a bit tricky. Nevertheless, I managed to finish 10 minutes before the time.
