Pune: The Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) and Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers (ISIEINDIA) on Tuesday signed an MoU to launch the first national rally called ‘Electric Solar Vehicle Championship: ESVC 3000+ Rally’.
Giving details about the rally, ISIE Founder-President Vinod Gupta said, “We are going to organise a rally next year in April. The rally will start from Delhi and reach Pune via Jaipur, Kota, Indore and Nashik. Students from various engineering colleges, including IIT, NIT and other private institutes, will be participating with their faculty.”
Senior Deputy Director and Head of ARAI Academy Dr KC Vora said the vehicles are designed and manufactured by engineering students. The vehicles will cover over 1,600 km in eight days. This rally is supported by the NITI Aayog.”
ESVC-Electric Solar Vehicle Championship is the flagship event of ISIEINDIA, where six seasons of this event have been organised.
Students participating from over 400 colleges, including Pune-based COEP, MIT, Sinhagad, have been showcasing their talent with a new and innovative approach for the past seven years.
