Utkal University's international conference concludes
Research scholars from the country and abroad presented various insightful papers covering topics ranging from climate change, religion, culture and heritage on the second day.

BHUBANESWAR: The two-day long international conference on 'Science, society and politics in south Asia' came to an end on Wednesday. It was a part of the Utkal University's ongoing initiative to internationalize the research climate.
Research scholars from the country and abroad presented various insightful papers covering topics ranging from climate change, religion, culture and heritage on the second day. Noted professors and researchers discussed on anthropological, political and socio-cultural aspects of South-Asian countries during the two plenary sessions.
SM Patnaik, vice chancellor of Utkal University, said researchers need to be like children and keep asking questions. Purpose of the conference was to internationalise the research climate in the varsity and to rediscover South-Asia and Utkal University.
Visiting faculty from University of Leuven (Belgium), Noel B Salazar and other professors of the university spoke in the occasion. Sabita Acharya, chairman of PG Council, chaired the valedictory session.
The two day conference held here brought scholars, academicians and policy makers on a single platform having interest in Odisha. It covered many sub themes such as gender, youth, rural leadership, political leadership and many more in these two days.
