NOIDA:
Congress media panelist Pankhuri Pathak on Tuesday complained against two people from
Amethi who had allegedly posted obscene comments about her on their Facebook pages.
The accused have been identified as Deepak Singh Enthi and Pramod Singh, both from Amethi.
Pathak tagged the official handles of Noida police, commissioner of police and Amethi police on Twitter, writing, “I expect that you will take note of this case... which will increase the faith of women on the commissionerate system… @amethipolice it is expected that you too will take action.”
She added: “Respected @CP_Noida @noidapolice I want to inform that two youths from Amethi, UP are continuously making objectionable comments on me. They even say that they have no fear of the @uppolice.”
While DCP (Noida) Harish Chander said an FIR will be lodged if Pathak files a complaint, Amethi police tweeted it was investigating the case.
Pathak alleged the two men were supporters of a local
BJP leader.
Some Congress workers tagged Union textiles minister Smriti Irani, the BJP MP from Amethi, on Twitter, urging her to take action.
