A 'strong German' backpacker desperate to find a job in Melbourne has attracted attention for all the wrong reasons.
Edward Schröter, 22, asked his fellow travellers for help to find employment in a Facebook group, but most people were more interested in the size of his muscles.
'I’m Edward a 22 year old strong German from Berlin, currently on my second year in Australia,' he wrote on Monday.
'I’m looking for any kind of jobs you guys can offer me. Long term or short term, I don’t mind. I'm gonna be in Melbourne the whole year.'

The backpacker said he would be in Melbourne for the year and was asking for work
Mr Schröter shared two photos of himself along with the post.
'Got a jar of jam I’ve been trying to open for weeks here if you think you can help?' someone wrote.
'Thinking about moving house, you look like you could lift it for me,' another joked.
'Maybe apply to work at a gym?' a third commented.

Many people commented asking if he could help move their house or open a jar for them
'Could replace a tractor at a farm,' one said.
Others suggested he could work as a crane or a forklift due to his large muscles.
'Mate what job are you looking for one throwing bulldozers at buildings?' they wrote.
'You could work as a crane in the harbor or be a forklift in any warehouse...?' another commented.
'I remember my first protein shake,' one said.
Luckily for Mr Schröter, a few people did suggest a real job for him during his stay in Melbourne.
