Rajinikanth to meet Rajini Makkal Mantram district secretaries on Thursday

CHENNAI: Actor Rajinikanth will meet the district secretaries of Rajini Makkal Mantram (RMM) in Chennai on Thursday. Rajinikanth’s decision to meet RMM district secretaries comes at a time when there is a growing expectation about his political entry ahead of the 2021 assembly polls in Tamil Nadu.
The district secretaries have been instructed to assemble at his marriage hall in Kodambakkam here.
RMM functionaries said they received phone calls from mantram convenor V M Sudhakar on Tuesday asking them to be present at the Raghavendra Marriage Hall at 10am on Thursday.
“We have been informed that our thalaivar (Rajinikanth) wants to meet us. Like all people in Tamil Nadu, we are also eagerly waiting for an announcement from him,” said a district secretary who is on his way to Chennai. The district secretary said he was hoping that Rajinikanth would make an important announcement at the meeting.
