Ludhiana rural police books teenager for raping minor girl student

LUDHIANA: City Raikot police on Tuesday evening booked a teenager for rape of a minor female student.
The accused belongs to a village in Raikot area and is aged around 18 to 19 years. In her police complaint, the seventeen year and four months old complainant, who studies in tenth standard at a school in Raikot city, said that she was going to school on Tuesday morning when near Qutba gate, the accused came there on his motorcycle.
She added that the accused then threatened her and asked her to come with him and he will drop her to school.
The complainant said that the accused then forced her to sit on the motorcycle and instead of dropping her to school he took her to fields. She added that the accused then took her to a rooms where he raped her.
The complainant told cops that the accused threatened her of dire consequences if she revealed about the incident to anyone. She added that the accused dropped her to Qutba gate after which she reached her home and narrated about the incident to her parents who later called police.
On being informed, cops from City Raikot police station reached the complainant and started probe into the matter.
The police later booked the accused under sections 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC and section 4 of the protection of children from Sexual Offences Act.
SHO City Raikot police station, Amarjit Singh said that the accused is on the run and they had conducted raid to arrest him on Tuesday night.
