KOTA: A 40-year-old government schoolteacher was on Tuesday evening arrested for allegedly molesting and misbehaving with two minor girl students at a school in Chardana village under Kapren police station of Bundi district.
The accused, identified as Sadanand Meena (40), a resident of Adeela village of the district who teaches history at a school in Chardana village allegedly molested and misbehaved with two girl students of the school last week, following which the girls reported the matter to their parents, who along with other villagers locked the school gate on Monday, demanding arrest of the accused teacher.
On the report by the girls’ parents, the accused Meena was on Monday booked under Section 354 of IPC and Section 9,10 of the Pocso Act, for allegedly molesting and misbehaving with the girls, SHO at Kapren police station Budhiprakesh Nama said.
The accused teacher had been molesting and misbehaving with them for past some time now, the girls have alleged in the report, he added. Meena, following investigation, was on Tuesday evening arrested and would be produced before the court on Wednesday, the SHO said.
The accused teaches history and was sent to Awaiting Posting Orders (APO) , said the ASI of the police station.
