Banas Dairy bags award for going green

67 lakh trees have been planted in the dairy campus
Palanpur: The Banas Dairy on Tuesday bagged the Amul Green Award for its work on environment conservation and preservation.
Dairy’s in-charge managing director Kamraj Chaudhary received the award from managing director of Gujarat Coopertive Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), RS Sodhi at Anand on Tuesday.
Dairy chairman Shankar Chaudhary said milk producers, social workers, forest officials, environment lovers of the Banaskantha were involved in this effort and helped to plant a total of 67 lakh trees making Banaskantha green. It plans to plant 10 crore trees in next 10 years
