Two female Rhinos to be translocated from Kaziranga National Park to Manas National Park under the Indian Rhino Vision programme. These two Rhinos were captured in Western Range at Bagori. This is a part of India's aim to take one-horn rhino population in the country to 3,000 this year. Manas, which did not have even a single Rhino in the last 10 years, will now become home for 43 Rhinos. Assam Forest Minister, Parimal Suklabaidya, said, “Under IRV 2020 agreement, International Rhino Foundation helped us. The Rhino population of Kaziranga is 2, 439. At one point of time, the Rhino population of Manas National Park was 0, now it has increased to 43.”
