Man stabbed to death in Ambala's Mahesh Nagar; accused's house set on fire

AMBALA: A 22-year-old man identified as Vikas alias Bunty of Mahesh Nagar area in Ambala district was stabbed to death by some accused during late hours on Monday.
As per the information, Vikas's aggrieved family members set a house reportedly belonging to one of the accused on fire and one person received injury in a violent clash between two parties.
Meanwhile on the complaint of Vikas's family members, a case under Section 302 (punishment for murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered at Mahesh Nagar police station (PS) on Tuesday.
"Vikas of Mahesh Nagar has been stabbed by some persons and we are making efforts to identify them and some suspects are absconding. Some family members of Vikas also set ablaze a house of one of the accused and one person received injury in a clash between both the parties last night. We have registered a case and started an investigation into this murder. So far, the reason behind this murder is yet to be ascertained", told inspector Satish Kumar, SHO, Mahesh Nagar PS.
"The post-mortem of deceased Vikas is being conducted and his body will be handed over to the family members for last rites on Tuesday", added SHO Satish.
